GIFT STORE MANAGER 

CUSTOMER SERVICE - MERCHANDISING - POTTED ARRANGEMENTS 

We are a dynamic nursery in Tulare that includes demonstration gardens, gift store, outdoor wedding venue and design. 

We are looking for an energetic person to join our team. Someone who can handle responsibilities of merchandising, excellent customer service, inventory management and creating seasonal decor. Someone who is looking to grow with a new company. Your duties will include:

  • Interact with customers and provide excellent customer service.

  • Create purchase orders and receive gift store products.

  • Maintain inventories of materials, equipment, or products.

  • Plan potted arrangements according to client’s requirements.  Utilizing knowledge of design and properties of materials, or select appropriate standards design pattern.

  • Develop artistic or design concepts for decoration, exhibition, or commercial purposes.

  • Maintain and care for indoor plants and succulents.

  • Perform office and retail service duties such as serving customers, answering telephones, selling giftware items and receiving payment.

  • Maintain records, documents, or other files.

  • Unpack inventory as it comes into the shop.

  • Create and change in-store displays, designs, and looks to enhance a shops image.

  • Inform customers about the care, maintenance, and handling of various foliage, indoor plants, and other items.

  • Perform general cleaning duties in the store to ensure the shop is clean and tidy.

  • Must be able to work Saturdays.

  • Must be able to lift 40 lbs and work on your feet.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $12-15.00 /hour (depending on experience) 

Required education:

  • High school or equivalent

Required experience:

  • Retail experience

  • Indoor/Outdoor plant knowledge preferred

Required license or certification:

  • Drivers License
